Pixelpalooza Icon Contest Accepting Submissions

by , 6:00 PM EST, March 25th, 2002

The Iconfactory annual Pixelpalooza icon contest is nearing the submission deadline for designers. The Pixelpalooza contest will be judged by readers and features prizes such as the coveted iPod. According to The Iconfactory:

The Web's premiere source for quality freeware icons, The Iconfactory wants to remind everyone that there is only one week left to enter our annual icon design contest - Pixelpalooza.

So far this year The Iconfactory has accepted over 80 submissions for Pixepalooza from artists around the globe. As a testament to the growing popularity of Mac OS X, the OS X category has garnered over 40 entries alone, more than 4 times the number of OS X entries from last year's contest.

Pixelpalooza 2002 winners will receive prizes including Apple iPods, iPod carrying cases from Software & Things, Microsoft Office, Aladdin's Stuffit Deluxe, Typeset from Vizspring Software, Panic's Audion 2, Font collections from Font Diner and Fonthead Design as well as t-shirts & other goodies from The Mac Surf Shop and The Iconfactory. Official winners will be announced on Wednesday, April 17th, 2002.

Finally, drop by The Iconfactory on April 8th for the start of voting in the People's Choice Award where the public selects which entries they think should win.

You can find more information about the Pixelpalooza contest at The Iconfactory Web site.
