Apple CFO Fred Anderson Joins E.piphany Board Of Directors

by , 10:00 AM EDT, April 28th, 2003

E.piphany Inc., a software company out of San Mateo, California has gained a new member on its board of directors. According to an article in the San Francisco Business Times, the new member is none other than Apple CFO Fred Anderson. Leaving E.piphany's board are Jenny Ming of Old Navy and Sam Lee of Technology Ventures.

Fred Anderson also serves on the board of Crystal Decisions, an enterprise software developer, a post announced in October of 2002. Like Crystal Decisions, E.piphany does not appear to offer any Macintosh products at this time, and is also an enterprise-oriented software developer. From the San Francisco Business Times:

Software company E.piphany Inc. said Friday that Fred Anderson, Apple Computer executive vice president and chief financial officer, will join E.piphany's board of directors, pending his election at the company's annual meeting on May 30.

[...]

"Fred's stature and financial expertise are well known throughout Silicon valley and beyond," said Roger Siboni, president and CEO at E.piphany. "His far-reaching experience will help ensure that E.piphany expands its comprehensive corporate governance framework and takes full advantage of the growth opportunities."

You can read the full article at the San Francisco Business News' Web site. You can find more information on E.piphany at the company's Web site.

The Mac Observer Spin:

Sitting on the boards of two not-so-small companies is quite an accomplishment for a CFO. Fred Anderson has earned enormous respect in Silicon Valley for his management of Apple's finances, something that is reflected in this announcement. As we said when his appointment to Crystal Decision was announced, this reflects just as positively on Apple, at least from a financial standpoint.
