Old Jewel Releases Maintenance Update For Painter's Picker

by , 7:00 AM EST, December 30th, 2003

Old Jewel Software has released an update for Painter's Picker, bringing it to version 1.1.2. Painter's Picker is a utility designed to expand OS X's standard color picking panel. The update fixes a few bug issues. According to Old Jewel Software:

Old Jewel Software is proud to announce the release of version 1.1.2 of Painter's Picker, its new extension to Mac OS X's color picker panel.

Painter's Picker is an extension to the color picker panel in Mac OS X. It adds the ability to choose related colors, such as complementary colors, analogous colors, etc. directly within the color picker. It also adds more precise controls for choosing saturation, hue angle, and brightness, and provides the ability to choose colors in the CMYK color space while using the popular HSB-style controls.

Changes in version 1.1.1 include:

Fixed a bug where the info menu would not work properly in applications that use a modal color panel (such as Adobe Photoshop)

Improved the display of the info menu within Mac OS X 10.2. Some items were too long before and so were being clipped in the menu.

You can find more information about the Painter's Picker update at the Old Jewel Software Web site. Painter's Picker is available for US$13.85.
