REAL Basic Updated With Linux Support

REAL Basic Software, Inc. has released an update for REAL Basic, bringing it to version 5.5. REAL Basic is a utility designed for software development. The update features several enhancements including Linux support and remote debugging. According to REAL Basic Software:
REAL Software, Inc. announced today that REALbasic 5.5 is shipping.
This powerful, easy-to-use development environment has been substantially improved to help REALbasic users increase productivity and speed software creation. Among its many new and improved features, REALbasic 5.5 adds the ability to build Linux applications.
REALbasic 5.5 adds the capability to:
- Create Linux server and desktop applications from Windows and Macintosh
- Build single-user database applications with the new embedded database, redesigned from the ground up to be dependable and flexible
- Debug Mac, Windows or Linux applications from the Mac or Windows IDE with the new remote debugging capability
- Create native Mach-O applications for Mac OS X and build console applications (applications without a user interface like server applications or daemons) for Windows, Mac or Linux
- Build web-aware applications by communicating with and parsing data from Websites with new SOAP/XML support
