Ellipsis Updates Safari Bookmark Exporter With Firefox Support
by , 3:00 PM EST, March 29th, 2004
Ellipsis Productions has released an update for Safari Bookmark Exporter, bringing it to version 1.0.6. Safari Bookmark Exporter is a utility designed for exporting bookmarks to a variety of browsers. The maintenance update fixes a URL bug and features Firefox support. According to Ellipsis Productions:
Today Ellipsis Productions released Safari Bookmark Exporter 1.0.6.
Safari Bookmark Exporter is a simple utility designed to do one thing only and do it well: export Safari bookmarks. Safari Bookmark Exporter supports exporting to OmniWeb, Camino/Chimera, Mozilla, Netscape, Internet Explorer, and now, iCab and Opera.
All you do is launch the app, click "Analyze Bookmarks", select your desired browser, click "Export Bookmarks", and then save the file to the desired location. It's as simple as that. Furthermore, Safari Bookmark Exporter knows exactly where to save bookmark files and under what name to save them, so you don't have to figure that out!
Version 1.0.6 fixes the problem with URLs that contain "&" characters. It also adds support for Firefox, the new bookmark format used in the latest Camino nightlies, and the highly annoying three-file OmniWeb 5 bookmark format.
You can find more information about the Safari Bookmark Exporter update at the Ellipsis Productions Web site. Safari Bookmark Exporter is available as freeware.
