SplashData, Inc has released a new version of SplashID, bringing it to version 3.0. SplashID is a utility designed for the storage and management of personal ID information. The latest release features support for custom icons and record filtering. According to SplashData, Inc:
SplashData, Inc., the leading developer of "virtual wallet" applications for mobile devices, today launches a major upgrade to the Mac OS version of its best-selling personal identification organizer, SplashID.
SplashID 3.0, which securely maintains personal identification information on a Palm Powered handheld and desktop computer, now offers Mac users a host of new features aimed at simplifying the security of data stored on their PDAs and enabling users to customize the program to suit their particular preferences.
SplashData's development team focused its efforts on personalization and simplification with SplashID 3.0. SplashID now provides support for custom icons. These icons can be purchased from third-party vendors or created using applications such as Icon Manager, software that enables users to create and edit an endless array of icons for use with SplashID and other popular applications such as DateBk and Agendus.
Users can now assign records to categories for filtering purposes, such as "Personal" or "Business," and pre-select which columns will be displayed based on the type of records being viewed. In addition, users can create an unlimited number of templates with pre-defined field labels for different information types such as "Credit Card Numbers" and "Web Logins" while customizing field labels on a per-record basis.
You can find more information about the SplashID 3.0 release at the SplashData, Inc Web site. SplashID is available for US$29.95.
