Danish Mac User Makes An Apple Table
by , 11:00 AM EDT, August 26th, 2004
For the Mac fan who thought he had everything, we bring you the Apple logo conference table (courtesy of Engadget). .Mac user cbayn has posted a slideshow of images of his Apple logo conference table, a table big enough to sit three, comfortably.
There's not much of a story accompanying the images, but it appears as if the Dane posting the images made the table for his (or her) own use. We thought it cool enough to show you, and so:

For those who noticed that the logo's stem was missing, it's shown in the slide show as holding the lighting above the table. You can see all six images at cbayn's .Mac Web page.
The Mac Observer Spin:
We're waiting anxiously for the "E" table shaped like Dell's logo, or maybe a chair emblazoned with the Windows logo.We won't, however, hold our breath.
Observer Comments
Guest, follow the link, and there's a picture of the leaf (the TMO article mentions the missing "stem", but really the author is talking about the stem).
Pretty cool stuff. Rather than a conference table, this may make a good personal desk. The "bite" in the Apple could provide a good place to sit, so the desk sort of wraps around you.
I'll have to see about getting on for my cube. ![]()
jimothy: I did miss the mention of the "stem" lamp the first go around. After I posted, I noticed it and saw the pic of it. I still like my taboret idea better.
Oh and I'm thinking of the graphic arts style taboret which is basically a small utility table with wheels on the bottom and drawers for storage. It would be a lot more work than the lamp but it would be worth it.
