iTunes Music Store Offering Exclusive U2 Track

by , 8:00 AM EDT, September 28th, 2004

Apple's iTunes Music Store on Monday began offering exclusively a new single from the Rock group U2's upcoming new album.

The single "Vertigo" can now be download from the iTMS for US$0.99.

The group's complete album - How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb - will be available to the general public on November 22 (not November 23 as is posted on the iTMS) when U2 will release their first studio album in four years.

Recorded in Dublin and the south of France, the groups tenth studio album made headlines in July after recordings were allegedly stolen from a studio. There were fears the tracks would appear on the Internet before the official release. U2 have sold 120 million records since their first album 24 years ago. How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb has been produced by Steve Lillywhite, who also produced the band's first three albums.
