Banc of America Raises Estimates Citing "Significantly Stronger" iPod shuffle Sales

by , 6:00 PM EST, February 25th, 2005

Banc of America Securities raised its target price on Apple to $97 from $85 and upped its second-quarter and fiscal 2005 estimates Friday.

Citing "significantly stronger than anticipated" sales of the iPod shuffle, the firm raised its second-quarter earnings estimates to 44 cents per share from 40 cents, and increased its fiscal 2005 view to $2.11 from $1.87. Fiscal 2006 estimates were also raised to $2.50 from $2.16.

Banc of America expects Apple to ship 1.2 million iPod shuffles for the March quarter, with sales of the Mac mini coming in around 200,000 due to manufacturing constraints.

Expected sale of shuffle is between 400k-500k per month, so I don't understand why it is more than anticipated.

because there are no websites for PC enthusiasts, even though they control 95% of the market.

Ever wonder why that might be, or more fun to clal us idiots?

I know I'm an idiot. I don't know how to remove viruses. I can't figure out how to detect spyware. Sometimes, I even have to think for a minute before I can remember how to force my computer to reboot in the event that it actually needs it. Hell, I can't even find my Registry to clean up. I also wish I could remember what website I need to go to to activate my new OS!
Really, in an industry where 95% of my fellow computer users are well versed in all of the above tasks, I must be an idiot!! Right?!?!
