by , 2:40 PM EST, March 30th, 2006

Mireth Technology Corp. on Thursday released a Universal Binary for its digital audio application Music Man. In addition, version 1.7.6 includes Audio CD burning capability and other new features.

Music Man can rip, convert, burn, and play MP3, WMA, WAV, AAC, AIF, Audio CD and Ogg Vorbis files, offering such features as variable burn quality for placing more music on a USB flash drive than it can normally hold, and mono mixdown for placing both channels of sound in one earphone.

This is a free update for existing users. The full version of Music Man sells for US$19.95 as a download or $29.95 on CD and requires Mac OS X v10.2.3, a G3 processor and QuickTime 6. Mac OS X v10.4 is required for Audio CD burning, as well as for running the software on Intel processors.
