FirmTek Rolls Out New Serial ATA Adapters

FirmTek announced two new Serial ATA adapters at NAB on Monday. The SeriTek/2SE2-E is a PCI Express host adapter for the Dual-Core PowerMac G5. It includes two external SATA II ports capable of data transfer speeds up to 3 gigabits per second and supports individual drives or RAID configurations. The SeriTek/2SE2-E will be available later this year for US$99.95.

FirmTek's also introduced its Serial ATA ExpressCard for the MacBook Pro. The SeriTek/2SM2-E supports data transfer speeds up to 3 gigabits per second and takes advantage of the faster throughput speeds of the ExpressCard port. The ExpressCard will be available later this year, and will be priced at $119.95.
