Laptop Users Unfazed By Battery Recalls

A dozen customers interviewed during an informal poll revealed that only half of them knew about the recalls of batteries in Dell and Apple laptops, and among those who were aware, there was little concern expressed. PC Magazine's Mark Hachman spoke with customers at an Apple Store in central London, as well as a nearby PC World.

"I don't think anyone is too bothered by it," one customer said, noting the humorous tone of the comments he had read on the Internet. Another one said: "I think we have much more to worry about, security-wise, than a notebook going up in flames. When I travel I'm more concerned about confidential data being intercepted."

Your Dull laptop will burst into flames only if someone hacks into it and tries to steal sensitive information. I hear Dull is now shipping a free fire extinguisher with every laptop.
