by , 2:55 PM EST, December 27th, 2006

Unsanity announced the immediate availability of Labels X 1.8 on Wednesday. Labels X lets you add color tags to files and folders on your Mac. The updated version is a Universal Binary application, allowing it to run natively on PowerPC and Intel-based Macs. It also improves per-processor memory usage, includes Application Enhancer 2.0.2, and also includes Smart Crash Reports 1.2.1 as an optional install.

Labels X 1.8 is priced at US$10, and is available for download at the Unsanity Web site. The update is free for all users.

I used Unsanity's color tagging before Apple finallyadded it back into the OS. What does Unsanities verson do that Apple's doesn't? Is this really news?
