Palm Releases Daylight Saving Update

by , 3:40 PM EST, February 22nd, 2007

Palm released free updates for its handheld and Treo devices on Thursday that add support for the new daylight saving time rules in the United States, Canada, and other countries. The update is available as a downloadable installer, or as an over-the-air update for wireless Palm OS and Windows Mobile devices. Palm is offering updates for all of its products that automatically adjust for daylight savings.

Additional information about the update and download links are available at the Palm Web site.

Not. Palm software is comical.

Sounds like "Guest" (Why not register--afraid of letting people know who you are?) hasn't bothered to check out how it's done.

1. Download the file from Palm's website.
2. Double-click on the file--it's added to the list for the next hot sync.
3. Hot sync the PDA.
4. Run the updater.

That's it. You can also do it directly on the Palm device if it has WiFi (or phone connection, in the case of the Treos).

If people can't be civil, there's no reason to post to forums.

Right-click on the link for the file and choose to save it to your desktop or wherever. Cripes, it does't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out.
