Black Cat Systems Releases RF Toolbox 3.3

Black Cat Systems has released version 3.3 of its RF Toolbox, antenna design software. The latest version adds Universal Binary support and a resistor color code calculator.

RF Toolbox is an antenna design package for amateur (ham) radio operators, and other radio enthusiasts, as well as those in the communications professions.

The software takes the user, step by step, through the design of the following types of antennas:

  • Dipole
  • Fat Dipole
  • Yagi
  • J-Pole
  • Super J-Pole
  • Log Periodic
  • Cubic Quad
  • Vertical
  • helical

RF Toolbox performs, for example, these kinds of calculations: Transmission line calculations, coil design, LC filter design, transmission line loss, L matching networks, Impedance calculations, wire inductance calculations, resistor color code and more.

RF Toolbox 3.3.0 is a Universal Application and is available for Mac OS X, Mac OS 8/9 and Windows. A Linux version is still in development. It is priced at US$19.99.
