Apple Posts iTunes 7.4.3 for Windows
by , 3:00 PM EDT, September 27th, 2007
On Thursday, Apple posted iTunes 7.4.3 for Windows. It's a minor fix, and deals with the initial setup of the iPod touch on some international versions of Windows.
Apple specified that both XP SP2 and Vista are affected.
The 49 MB update is available at Apple's Support site.
Observer Comments
The automatic type update on apple.com jumps right to the 'Thank You' screen withoun installing, even when I try the apple.com assisted 'Manual Install'. Is there a site where I can just download the iTunesSetup.exe program like days of old. Then I can try a truely manual install. Thanks, ...Ted (Pensacola, FL) What@cox.net
This sucks, hopefully someone can help. I installed the latest iTunes on Windows... BIG Mistake. Now iTunes, which was already slow and a resource hog to begin with, wheneve I try to add a video, it hangs the system for a minute, maybe 45 seconds, then the video is not added to iTunes, and my hard drive disappears from the system (not the system drive another drive where the video & music is stored). Once I reboot, the drives are there, and every other application on my computer works just fine with the videos, but iTunes, noooo, it blows it away every time. What's worse, I tried to uninstall and reinstall the old version, but of course it can't open the iTunes library file, since it was saved with the new version. So now I'm stuck without a working iTunes unless I blow away my library. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get this work? Please, I hardly give a darn about iTunes, I'm just stuck with it because it is required for sync'ing the iPhone and I just want to put new videos on there. (way to go Apple).
