AOL Desktop for Mac Gets Leopard Support
by , 9:40 AM EDT, September 28th, 2007
AOL released a public beta of a new version of its AOL Desktop for Mac on Friday. The beta promises to offer support for Mac OS X 10.5, support multiple email accounts including .Mac and Gmail, and more.
The new AOL Desktop for Mac marks the first major update to the application in over five years. It improved load time, added tabbed navigation, supports AOL Instant Messenger, and improved overall security.
The AOL Desktop for Mac public beta is free to download, and is available at the AOL beta project Web site.

Mon Oct 01, 2007 10:39 am Subject: How can any "promise" support?
While the Developer Preview is out, it is not to say Apple won't do something at the last second that might break support of any software that is currently published. They might have to, just in order to fix another bug. Software works like a house of cards. You have to only hope that the software publishers are following the exact guidelines Apple is assuming when creating their new operating system. Any variation could break it.
Don't promise what you can't deliver beyond a reasonable doubt!
