Who's on First? Next to the MAC Store

by , 5:00 PM EDT, March 24th, 2008

Apple Customers shopping at the Cherry Hill Mall in New Jersey will have to decide on whether to visit the Mac store or the MAC store, according to ifo AppleStore on Sunday.

Of course, the MAC store is MAC cosmetics, shown in a photo right next to the new Apple store.

Customers asking directions to the Apple store could get an interesting response: "Why, it's right next to the MAC store."

If they don't also ask who's on first, they'll likely keep their sanity.

This might be the first Apple store that is RIGHT NEXT TO a MAC store but I know it happens that Apple stores are occasionally quite close to MAC stores (Park Meadows, etc.) I remember remarking to fellow queuers on the proximity of a MAC store while waiting in line at the 29th St Apple store grand opening in Boulder.

Point of order. It should Mac, not the abbreviation for Media Access Control.

MAC is a cosmetics store. Stands for Make-up Art Cosmetics. It is actually M•A•C.

D'oh! With a Homer Simpson slap to my head. I am so used to correcting trolls about the spelling of Mac that I over reacted.

And of course the same thing was said about it being a cosmetics store in John's article.
