Psystar Still Around, Updates Mac Clone Cases
by , 9:15 AM EDT, May 28th, 2008
The unauthorized Mac clone maker Psystar hasn't been shut down by Apple yet, and has even updated the cases for its computers. The new OpenMac tower cases replace their generic beige look for a much more Dell-ish flair.

Psystar made a splash when it opened shop in April with its Intel-based OpenMac computer that runs what the company claimed was an unmodified version of Mac OS X 10.5. Apple's user license, however, does not allow for a Mac OS X installation on non-Apple hardware, leaving many to wonder just how legit Psystar's business operations are.
More interesting than Psystar's continued dabbling in the Mac market, however, is Apple's apparent lack of action to stop the company from selling its computers with Mac OS X. The assumption when Psystar opened shop was that Apple would block the Mac OS X PC sales right away, but so far Apple appears to be ignoring the company.

Dellish flair, or is it hellish flare
As to Apple's lack of action they may still be in the early rounds of cease and desist letters before they go for an injunction. Or perhaps Apple is waiting for Psystar to make a really big mistake, something way above and beyond the EULA violation.

They use the same crap parts as apple does, only difference is that apple is charging 3 times more for it. Strang people accpet to buy crap stuff at high prices. Close down the monopoly use Linux instead.
That's like saying a Porche is just a Volkswagen with better body panels.

That's a funny way to say it
However, I think if you benchmark a Porsche against my VW Passat you will get a much much bigger difference in performance that if you benchmark a Dell with Core Duo against an iMac
Although comparatively speaking, the price difference may apply to your analogy as well.
For the record, I own 3 Macs and have been a user since 1994.
