RapidWeaver 4 Gets New Interface, Google Analytics Support

by , 11:40 AM EDT, May 29th, 2008

Realmac Software announced the immediate availability of RapidWeaver 4.0 on Thursday. The new version of the Web site design application added a new interface designed for Mac OS X 10.5, and support for Google Analytics.

The new version added four new theme designs; theme management with support for folders, filters and searching; WebClip support; one-click publishing; and more.

RapidWeaver 4.0 is priced at US$79 and is available at the Realmac Software Web site. The upgrade is free for version 3.6 users, or $25 for earlier versions.

Subject: RW4 welcome, but poor support not...

I have been w RW user since the beginning. I've suffered through the changes that have sometimes broken my pages using themes that were no longer supported or features that were altered. But I still really like the program.

The thing I do not like is the absolute lack of personalized support from RealMacSoftware.com. If I'm going to pay that kind of money for a program from a small developer, I should be able to submit a question and get a personal response without having to join a discussion forum or fish through a FAQ. No where did I see anything about RW4 that details how this new version affects web pages created in 3.6, 3.5, and previous versions of RW. I have some important pages and sites I've created in recent versions of RW, and I want to make sure they'll stay intact before I upgrade. Come on Real Mac Software, support your software properly and fill out that FAQ more thoroughly.
