Apple Stock Rallies Nearly 6% Amid Broader Nasdaq Boost

Shares of Apple Computer had jumped 5.71% to US$62.06 by 3:15 PM EST on Wednesday, part of a broader Nasdaq rally that saw the overall index leap over 1.5%. The company's stock has been moribund since it fell off its 52-week high of $86.40 in late January. Nothing specific seems to be sparking the rally, other than the overall technology boost. Investors are likely waiting to see what Apple has to say when it reports its current quarter earnings on April 19.
