TMO Quick Tip - Tracking Application Updates in Dashboard
by , 7:30 AM EDT, May 9th, 2008
Keeping track of updates for all of the applications installed on your Mac can be a real pain, but life doesn't have to be that way. One of the handy tools I've found that takes the pain away is a clever little Dashboard widget called App Update. It handles the drudgery of tracking all of the third party apps you've installed, and lets you know if you have the most recent versions for each.
App Update tracks all of the third party apps installed on your Mac, shows the most recent version number for each app, and can even download updates for you. You can set it to check daily or weekly, it displays application release notes, can track updates at VersionTracker and Mac Update, and even displays new updates via Growl.

Mac OS X's Software Update application handles all of Apple's applications without any problem, and App Update does a great job of handling everything else for me. It's free and available for download at gkaindl.com.

Hi
Nova Designs had a recent promo on Cinematte -- promoted as CS3 and Leopard compatible. I bought it.
I've re-installed the OS and even stood on my head -- the software DOES NOT WORK with CS3 and Leopard.
After wasting days on this -- I asked for my money back.
The response was...
'I can offer support, but no refunds.

He can't do that can he????
Can anyone trust a business that acts that way????
